Dorset College continues to adhere to the government’s guidelines on protective measures required to be in place in order to combat the COVID-19. These protective measures mean that our classes will now be delivered through a Hybrid model as outlined above.
Access to the programme is through the CAO or DIRECT with Dorset College Admissions Office.
CAO applicants must meet the basic matriculation requirements of a minimum of 5, O6/H7 grades, including Mathematics and a Language.
FET applicants must hold a QQI level 5 Major Award.
International applicants, who have not applied for access to this programme through the CAO, must furnish an equivalent qualification that is certified by NARIC Ireland.
For mature applicants (i.e. age 23 and older), applications will be individually assessed in order to determine suitability through Dorset College’s ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ policy.
English Language Requirements
Candidates whose first language is not English are required to meet the admission criteria of IELTS 6.0 / B2+ CEFR or equivalent.
The Bachelor of Business is a three-year Level 7 qualification awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
A combination of module appropriate assessment methods will facilitate the assessment of learning outcomes on the course including group work, examinations, presentations and business reports.
Protection of Enrolled Learners
Dorset College has arrangements in place to ensure the Protection of Enrolled Learners (PEL) in the event of a cessation of programmes by the college.
The Bachelor of Business programme will provide a strong base from which to pursue a career and/or further study in accountancy, finance, marketing and general business.
Learners will have the opportunity to visit multinational organisations and professional fairs.
