We offer a wide range of full and part-time programmes to meet the needs of learners at all stages in their lives and career.   

There are a number of ways in which you can apply for a course at Dorset College depending on the course required and on your level of prior learning.

Applications for the undergraduate programmes can be made through the Central Applications Office (CAO) or directly with Dorset College. The individual entry requirements and other relevant details are outlined in each of the specific course pages.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Direct Entry

Direct entry is made by filling in the Online Application form for all programmes. For applicants who come into the college to reserve a place on a course, a paper-based Application form is provided.

Mature Learners

Mature Learners who are 23 years of age and over, and do not meet the minimum entry requirements will be considered a mature learner and can apply for programme entry through the College’s recognition of prior learning policy (RPL). Applicants must be over 23 years of age on January 1st of the year of application.
