International Financial Management Module

Introduction to Global Finance Management

This module will enable learners to understand the intellectual, technical and personal skills required in an international management context. Learners will gain an understanding of the principles and issues relating to international financial management in the context of problem solving and financial decision-making in an international business environment.

Furthermore, the course enhances students' global perspective by analysing economic, political, and cultural factors that influence international financial management. It covers risk management techniques for dealing with currency, interest rate, and country risks, and explores strategies for hedging and mitigating these risks. Ethical considerations and sustainable financial practices are integral parts of the curriculum, promoting responsible and impactful financial management. The course also focuses on developing strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effectively presenting financial analyses and working in team-based projects.

Reassessment Opportunity

Where the combined marks of the assessment and examination do not reach the pass mark the learner will be required to repeat the element of assessment that they failed. Reassessment materials will be published on Moodle after the Examination Board Meeting and will be aligned to the MIMLOs and learners will be capped at 40% unless there are personal mitigating circumstances.
