Learners will prepare word processing and presentation documents and save them in appropriate formats. Create, edit, style and review word processing and presentation documents.
Learners will Insert data, charts, animations and images into word processing and presentation documents, and apply formatting in a way that recognises good practice and improves productivity. Review documents and prepare them for print output.
Explain how environmental factors, audience demographics and the presenter’s physical and vocal choices can improve presentation techniques.
Gain the skills in using social media and access academic resources from online and electronic databases.
Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to describe basic IT concepts and terms associated with computer hardware and software.
Where the combined marks of the assessment and examination do not reach the pass mark the learner will be required to repeat the element of assessment that they failed. Reassessment materials will be published on Moodle after the Examination Board and will be aligned to the MIMLOs and learners will be capped at 40% unless there are personal mitigating circumstances.
This module will enable learners to develop the IT skills that will enable them to provide the support they need to successfully deliver the requirements of the course and the assessments in a clear and appropriate manner.
