As of January 1st 2023, the national minimum wage in Ireland has been increased to €11.30!
This is great news for students, allowing them to earn and save more money while working here in Ireland. In 2022 the Government announced their determination to improve the rights and protenctions afforded to workers. Announcing the increase in the Minimum Wage the Tánaiste said “We want to reward work and ensure that work pays more. Minimum wage workers are among the hardest working people in Ireland and deserve to be paid more, particularly at a time of rising prices“.
