Karen Grogan is a Nursing Studies Alumni currently working as the Associate Regional Director for the Orpea Group in the Northside of Dublin.
Following the completion of her Nursing Studies programme, Karen completed a BSc in Intellectual Disability Nursing. Karen continues to use her healthcare experience as part of her role visiting multiple nursing homes across Dublin and meeting various residents and staff.

Completing the Nursing Studies course has assisted me in gaining entry to a BSc in Intellectual Disability Nursing, and gave me a great foundation for the course programme ahead. I was confident in Academic Writing from my time in Dorset College, which was a great help. The Nursing Studies programme was also the key for me being recruited as a Healthcare Assistant.
What recommendation would you have for those who are thinking about studying with us in the future?
Use all the class time with your Tutors wisely and always try to engage in the open discussion with your classmates.
