Minimum Intended Learning Outcomes (MIMLOs)

Upon successful completion of this module, the learner should be able to:
MIMLO1
Articulate the design principles for UI/UX, know their strengths and how they should be applied.
MIMLO2
Appreciate how human’s process information as it relates to UX. How human’s consume information, process it and store outcomes
MIMLO3
Evaluate, updated and reapply common UI UX approaches. Dynamic evaluation in the user context.
MIMLO4
Develop functioning projects that observe best principles in visual hierarchy, designing for ideal usability, accessibility and responsive interface design

Assessment

MIMLOs
Assessment
Percentage
1, 2, 3, 4
CA 1 – Simple Web project
Total 100%
CA 2 – Pre-production Website Project
All Assessments
CA 3 - Practical Website Project

Reassessment Opportunity

Where the combined marks of the assessment and examination do not reach the pass mark the learner will be required to repeat the element of assessment that they failed. Reassessment materials will be published on Moodle after the Examination Board Meeting and will be aligned to the MIMLOs and learners will be capped at 40% unless there are personal mitigating circumstances.
