It’s the beginning of December and to get fully into the holiday spirit our students took a trip to visit the Galway Christmas Market. The 2021 Christmas Market is the twelfth year of the market in Galway and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and stalls located in Eyre Square in Galway City centre.
The city of Galway was alive with merry shoppers and those looking to get into a festive frame of mind. Thankfully the weather was unseasonably sunny which really helped make the day a success.
The students took the opportunity to enjoy some mulled wine, eat Galway’s favourite takeaway (Charcoal Grill) and buy some local products. The friendly nature of the Galwegians always helps to bring a smile to your face, they love getting to know anyone who visits their city.
Students also enjoyed the views of the city by taking a turn on the big wheel and visiting the Spanish Arch to see the beautiful River Corrib.
For Christmas 2021 the City of the Tribes to be sparkling with the magnificent Galway Christmas Market from 6 pm on Friday 12th November until Wednesday 22nd December 2021.
