Thais holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and completed an Executive MBA in Business Consulting and Planning, both in Brazil. She has lived in two different countries before joining Dorset College Dublin and has previous experience in the Education and Study Abroad sectors.
Thais began her journey at Dorset College as an Evening Receptionist and Business Support, assisting faculty and students during evening hours. She now serves as the Admissions Lead for both the Higher Education Programmes and the English Language School.
In her free time, Thais enjoys traveling, playing board games, hosting barbecues, and spending time with pets.
Rachael joined Dorset College in 2023 as Assistant Director of Studies, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in the Language and Tourism sector.
Rachael holds a degree in Contemporary Culture and Society, alongside a 2-year certificate in Applied Languages and a CELT Cert. She has been teaching English since 2017, which offered her the experience of teaching and exploring Spain.
As the Evening Receptionist & Business Support in Dorset College, Camila provides support for all faculty and students attending classes in the college during the evening and weekends. As part of this role, Camila lends support for student queries, and carries out general admission and administrative duties.
Originally from Brazil, Camila has a degree in Chemistry and over 12 years of experience at Unilever leading projects in the Research and Development area. She came to Dublin one year ago to do an exchange programme to improve her English level and to know more about Irish culture – and is enjoying the experience very much!
Camila loves pets, especially dogs. She enjoys spending time with friends and also meditating, especially participating in retreats about it.
Canan is the Exams Officer and Quality Assurance Lead at Dorset College. She has completed two Level 8 Diplomas in Business and International Business, along with her Master`s Degree in Hospital and Healthcare Institutions Management.
In her role, Canan is responsible for co-ordinating the relevant processes relating to examination scheduling and necessary arrangements for all exams at Dorset College. Alongside this, Canan also oversees the process of preparing for exam boards, release of results and the preperation of transcripts. Liaising with QQI (Quality & Qualifications Ireland), she ensures all examination processes meet with QQI standards.
Canan has 10 years of professional experience in education, hospitality, and healthcare management. She enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures, and would love to travel the world in her campervan (which she hopes to own one day, fingers corssed!).
As a big fan of Celtic mythology, she likes to learn all she can about Celtic history. Canan also loves reading, watching thriller movies, sea swimming and hiking.
Marina is a Sales and Customer Care professional with over 8 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science and Physical Education from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Brazil, and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing here in Dublin.
In her role as International Business Advisor, Marina believes that building strong relationships with people is the key for success in sales. She prefers to bring humanity into the workplace by staying connected with our students.
Marina is a very curious person who loves studying and learning new ways to challenge herself to consistently improve her career. Marina currently speaks 4 languages, and in her spare time she enjoys reading, playing board-games, and if the weather is nice, she wouldn't miss the chance for longboarding.
Luize is a Public Relations professional who is passionate about education, either learning or helping others to improve themselves through education. As a learner, Luize keeps studying throughout her career - a Master in Organisational Development, a Master in Business, Post-Graduation in Andragogy & Leadership, and most recently a Bachelor's in International Business.
Over the years Luize has been proudly involved in several different projects related to people’s professional development. As the Professional Courses and Springboard Lead in Dorset College, Luize oversees all processes from admission up to Graduation in the area of Professional programmes, Springboard programmes, and Further Education programmes.
Originally from Brazil, Luize considers Ireland her home away from home.
A very curious person, Luize can be found baking, sewing, embroidering, camping, cooking, dancing, traveling, and doing all sorts of DIY projects. Her favourite programe for a day off is hiking – wherever her heart may bring her.
Adrian Hurley joined Dorset College in September of 2019, bringing with him a wealth of teaching and management experience. Upon completion of a BA in Applied Languages from Waterford Institute of Technology, he took up a lecturing post in French and Spanish at WIT, before going on to complete an MA in Translation Studies from Dublin City University.
Adrian lived in France and Spain for almost 3 years prior to joining Dorset College, and has worked for over 17 years in the language-teaching industry in a wide variety of situations.
He has taught English at primary school level in Spain, at secondary level in Paris, and has spent several years teaching in a number of language schools around Dublin. Adrian has also worked in ELT management for more than 7 years.
He is very passionate about language learning and is very keen to share this love with others.
Colm holds an Honours Degree in Business & Finance and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He also has a Diploma in Forensic Accounting and Cyber Securities, and is currently studying for a Diploma in Credit Management.
Colm has been the Financial Controller of Dorset College Dublin since 2018. With over 25 years experience in Accounting and Finance, he has worked in Practice, Financial Services, Insurance and Construction sectors before joining Dorset College.
Colm has taken over the management of the Payroll and Credit Control Departments since he joined in February 2018 and has developed excellent relationships with both staff and students.
Colm qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2014 and is also keen runner having completed 6 marathons to date.

Rizwan Ahmed's qualifications include a BA (Hons.) MA Master of Business Administration from University of Karachi, Pakistan; and Bachelor of Business (Hons.) in International Business from Dorset College Dublin; and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Karachi, Pakistan.
Rizwan is currently working on his Master's in Business and Management from UCD. He has over 22 years of mid-senior level management experience at various large and mid-sized organisations operating globally, and has supervised projects such as cross-border feasibility studies, privatisation studies, procurement and tendering, aviation ancillary services, risk advisory, international business operations and hospitality services.
He has conducted privatisation studies at large state organisations in Pakistan. Rizwan lectures on Dorset College's Diploma and Degree programmes in the faculty of Business and Accounting, where he delivers the modules of Business Management, Operations Management, Global Operations and Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
A Microsoft Certified Professional, Séamus also holds the JEB Teachers’ Diploma in Information Technology. A highly experienced IT professional, Séamus is responsible for organising and maintaining the IT Department for all of Dorset College.
Séamus plays an important role in the College supporting both staff and students to ensure that all IT systems are maintained to the highest standards.
