Reassessment Opportunity

Where the combined marks of the assessment and examination do not reach the pass mark the learner will be required to repeat the element of assessment that they failed. Reassessment materials will be published on Moodle after the Examination Board and will be aligned to the MIMLOs and learners will be capped at 40% unless there are personal mitigating circumstances.

UX/UI Design and Usability

Aims & Objectives

This module will introduce learners to good practice in web and app development by immersing them in concepts such as User Interface, User Experience and Usability. Learners will acquire the skills to design and structure UI, create wireframes and vector graphics and produce digital content for embedding in applications and websites that makes user interactions easy and straightforward.

This module will ensure learners meet the following objectives:

  • Understand the relationship between the concepts of User Interface and User Experience.
  • Be familiar with design tools, techniques and mark-up languages.
  • Understand the benefits of Usability and how ease of access and/or use of product or website can add to the overall User Experience.
  • Have a practical understanding of various industry-accepted tools used in UI/UX.
  • Implement web design using standard web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
